Mission

ELEVATE Figure Skating Club lifts and empowers our urban youth, both on and off the ice, by creating a path of success, developing the skills needed to overcome obstacles, and creating opportunities to reach new levels of achievement through the sport of figure skating.  Additionally, we aim to ELEVATE the sport of figure skating by creating inclusive and diverse spaces for skaters to learn and train, which will lead to making the sport more accessible to those who have not been able to overcome the barriers to entry.

Values

Equity: We believe in ensuring fairness and equal opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances, in the sport of figure skating. We strive to eliminate any barriers that may hinder inclusivity and diversity within the sport.

Leadership: We foster the development of strong leaders who guide and inspire others within the Figure Skating Club. We encourage individuals to take charge, make informed decisions, and serve as positive role models both on and off the ice.

Excellence: We uphold a commitment to excellence in all aspects of figure skating. We encourage our skaters to continuously improve their skills, set high standards for themselves, and strive for personal and collective achievements.

Awareness: We promote awareness of the challenges faced by individuals in the sport of figure skating. By acknowledging and understanding these obstacles, we aim to find solutions and support skaters in overcoming them.

Teamwork: We foster a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration within our Figure Skating Club. We believe that by working together, supporting one another, and leveraging each other's strengths, we can achieve greater success as a collective.

Education: We prioritize education and knowledge-sharing within the Figure Skating Club. We strive to provide skaters with the resources, training, and mentorship they need to develop their skills, expand their horizons, and reach their full potential.
