This Giving Tuesday, join us in making a meaningful impact on the lives of aspiring figure skaters at Elevate Figure Skating Club.
Elevate Figure Skating Club aligns with the U.S. Figure Skating Rulebook's GR 1.00 Policy, particularly GR 1.01 Code of Ethics. This policy emphasizes ethical conduct and integrity across all facets of club activities.
The Code of Ethics highlights the following key principles:
Responsibility and Fairness: All officials, registered members, and participants must uphold the highest standards of fairness, ethical behavior, and sportsmanship in interactions with others. They must contribute without personal gain, steer clear of institutional harm or embarrassment, and uphold behaviors that cultivate trust and public confidence in U.S. Figure Skating.
Avoidance of Conflicts of Interest: All those associated with U.S. Figure Skating, including employees, directors, judges, and committee members, are held to ethical standards in business dealings related to U.S. Figure Skating. Conflicts of interest are discouraged due to their potential to compromise integrity, decision-making, and the organization's reputation.
Disclosure and Abstention: Representatives aware of a potential business transaction with a connection to U.S. Figure Skating must immediately disclose their involvement to relevant parties. They are expected to provide complete information, assist in decision-making, and refrain from influencing decisions in cases of conflicts of interest.
Representational Conflicts of Interest: Members must disclose if they have the power to control, direct, or influence entities whose interests may conflict with those of U.S. Figure Skating.
Annual Review: Prior to assuming specific roles, members must sign a Conflict of Interest and Ethical Behavior statement. An annual review ensures the commitment to ethical principles for continuing appointments and staff.
Private Inurement: U.S. Figure Skating's assets and income should not benefit individuals or organizations to fulfill personal or private interests.
Statement of Principles: U.S. Figure Skating maintains a Statement of Principles of Ethical Behavior and Conflict of Interest. All individuals serving the organization must adhere to these principles, which are integrated into the Code of Ethics.
Elevate Figure Skating Club upholds these principles to foster an environment of integrity, trust, and responsible conduct among its members and associates.
